Lt. Mettinger’s journey with WVFC commenced in 1999, inspired by the legacy of his father, Life Member Stanley Mettinger II. His dedication to the fire service extends beyond WVFC, as he also serves as a career firefighter/EMT in the Northern Virginia Area. One of his cherished memories involves riding on the iconic “original Wagon 1” from 1989, a testament to his deep connection with the company’s history and his passion for firefighting. Lt. Mettinger continues to honor his family’s tradition of service and remains a valued member of our team.
