Prevention Through Education.
Warrenton Volunteer Fire Company is dedicated to providing fire safety education and awareness to all members of our community. We take an active approach to fire prevention through our Public Education program. The goal of this program is to provide presentations and programs to community members to reduce the risks of fire and loss of life. This includes stressing the importance of smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors in homes, and helping families develop fire escape plans.
Fire safety is an essential part of our organization. We offer our education presentations both at our fire station, and at preschools, elementary schools, home and tenant groups, and more community organizations. The promotion of fire education is a year-round priority, however, the most requests are received in October during Fire Prevention Month. In 2022 alone, we attended over 25 communty-wide events such as First Friday in Old Town Warrenton, National Night Out, Fauquier County Fair, and more. We also welcome requests for guided tours of our stations and equipment demonstrations.
Through effective fire safety awareness, WVFC is committed to serving our community. We encourage you to explore our online resources for community members. Interested in hosting WVFC? Use the Public Education Request Form below to talk with our Public Education Team today.
