Geoff’s journey in the world of firefighting began as a volunteer in Silver Spring, MD, in 1975. His dedication and expertise led him to be hired by the District of Columbia Fire Department in 1978, where he played crucial roles in various divisions, including Engine and Truck Companies in the Fire Fighting Division across the city, Building Services, Regulations, Public Information Office, and Professional Standards. Geoff’s illustrious career culminated in his retirement as Deputy Fire Chief in 2009. In 2010, Geoff extended his commitment to the community by joining WVFC, eager to contribute in any capacity possible. Over the course of 13 years of dedicated service, he made significant contributions, serving as an At Large Board Member for 4 years and Treasurer for 6 years. His multifaceted experience and unwavering dedication have left an indelible mark on our organization.
