July 7, 2021, shortly after 12 PM Rescue Company 1 was dispatched to assist on a motor vehicle accident with entrapment in the area of Winchester Rd and Old Winchester Rd. Units from Company 1 arrived to find a loaded cement truck overturned entangled in energized power lines. Volunteer crews along with members from Fauquier County DFREM waited for the power to be shut off, then was able to remove the driver within 24 minutes. The driver was transported by Air Care to the trauma center.
