This week's throwback is to the dedication of our 1989 Pumper to Annie Kayes. Mrs. Kayes worked for the Tom Frost Ford dealership. Every year for the company’s carnival, raffle tickets for a new car were sold. Mrs. Kayes sold so many raffle tickets for the new car that the car was fully paid off by the first night of the carnival. So, every raffle ticket sold thereafter was profit for the company that allowed for a new pumper to be purchased!

Yesterday our System demonstrated what teamwork is all about. Members from every single department in Fauquier County came out in force to respond to the 71 calls for service. Together with the support from Fauquier County Sheriffs Office, VDOT, and our amazing Communications division and some of our new recruits, all fires were contained and all members returned to their stations safely. After these incidents, Volunteers from Remington, Goldvein, and Warrenton continued the fight late into the night providing support to neighboring counties. Also, thank you to all of our citizens in the county for your continued concerns and support!
