On Friday, May 12th shortly after midnight box 0133 was struck for a traffic collision with multiple reports of multiple people trapped. Battalion 1 (BC Kidwell) arrived to find a collision involving three vehicles that resulted of three occupants being trapped in the vehicle, he established and retained command throughout the incident. Engine 1 arrived began initial stabilization and shutting the road down for a safe working area, Rescue Squad 1 arrived and continued with the stabilization of an overturned vehicle that was located in the middle of the roadway. The Rescue Squad used its front winch and the supports of a guardrail for a change of direction to complete the stabilization. Once complete, the three occupants were quickly extricated and evaluated by EMS, all received non-life threatening injuries and were further evaluated at the hospital.
