Tuesday, January 28, 2014 14:28 Alarm 1009 was sounded for a traffic collision with entrapment. Units arrived on scene with a single vehicle overturned with one patient trapped in the vehicle. Rescue 1’s crew arrived on scene and went to work stabilizing vehicle. Once stabilized, the patient was extricated from the vehicle, placed in stokes basket, and placed on a 5:1 haul system. The patient was flown to Fairfax INova Hospital by Air Care 1. Units remained on scene for approx. 20 minutes cleaning up equipment.
