One thing I love about WVFC is the family I’ve built with volunteers within the department and in my community. Volunteering at WVFC allows me to be a part of something bigger than myself. Some of my favorite moments at the department are these family-like moments, such as playing basketball and cornhole out front. My time at WVFC has helped me recognize and appreciate all that goes into the fire and rescue service, specifically how integral strong leadership is in the department.
