Chris Sager
Suppression Lieutenant
Sager’s journey with Warrenton began at the age of 16, and he has remained an active operational member for an impressive 13 years. For the past 9 years, he has also served as an operational line officer, exemplifying his dedication to the fire service. His passion for firefighting ignited at a young age, thanks to his father’s influence. Growing up, his father often took him to the firehouse, where he had the opportunity to interact with and learn from the members of the WVFD. In addition to his volunteer commitment, Lt. Sager has carved out a career as a firefighter for the past 9 years, presently serving in the Northern Virginia region. In Lt. Sager’s own words, “Working and volunteering as a fireman is the best job in the world, and I love riding fire trucks daily!” His enthusiasm shines when he’s aboard a fire truck, with the ladder truck holding a special place in his heart; he confidently claims it to be arguably the best rig in the fire service.
