On Monday November 2nd, 2015 Box 0136 was struck reporting a home owner has found smoke in their residence progressively getting worse. Rescue Squad 1, returning from another call arrived first advised of a 2 story colonial with an attached garage and upon completing their reconnaissance lap of the structure found active fire in the kitchen and attempted to keep it in check with a pressurized water can while the Engine Co. was still responding. They executed a primary search, finding and rescuing a dog on the number 1 floor . Once the Engine Co. arrived they ensured extinguishment, and began checking for any extension. The run was quickly downgraded to 2 Engines, Rescue Squad 1 and Medic 1. Units remained on the scene performing salvage, overhaul and ventilation for approximately 45 minutes.
