Truck 1 (Quint 611 on loan from Sterling Volunteer Fire Company) was dispatched to Culpeper, VA for an apartment building on fire. The roof and second floor were still well involved after a 30 minute response. The crew deployed into interior and exterior teams. With the interior crew being charged with taking a hand line into the second floor of the building and the exterior setting up the ladder pipe for operations. All crews were pulled out of the interior and the ladder pipe from Truck 1 and Culpeper Tower 1 were put into operations. The stubborn fire was finally extinguished and the Truck crews performed overhaul.
