Structure Fire – Old Waterloo Road

Box 0124 sounded for a residential structure fire.  Wagon, Rescue, and Tanker 1 responded with 8 personnel.  Wagon-1 officer, Capt. J. Koglin, clearly described the conditions upon their arrival.  Single story lightweight word frame rambler with fire showing from the first floor quadrant on sides Charlie and Delta burning through the roof, laying out from the end of the driveway.  Wagon 1 then stretched a 1 ¾ through the front door aggressively attacking the fire.  Rescue 1 went to work searching the structure, finding no victims.  They then secured the utilities and continued duties as first in special services.  Tanker 1 connected to the supply line at the end of the driveway and nursed Wagon 1.  The Tanker then set up their folding tank and awaited the arrival of the next tanker.  The attack crew extinguished the fire and other crews performed overhaul.  A rural water fill site was established and a tanker relay was readied.  Company One units cleared after 3 hours on scene.
