Alarm 0103 was sounded for a working structure fire. Wagon 1 arrived on the scene of an end of the row town house, with lazy smoke showing side Alpha. Upon entering the structure moderate smoke conditions were noted on the main floor. A hose line was deployed to the basement where an active fire was found in the dryer. A quick attack was made and the fire was out. The area around the dryer was opened up, along with the walls inside the laundry room. No fire was found outside of the laundry room, and no structural components showed any fire damage. The fire was contained primarily to the dryer with radiant heat damage to the room, and smoke damage throughout the town house. There was no extension and the building was ventilated. Town of Warrenton Fire Marshal arrived on scene and investigated. No injuries reported with 3 displaced. Red Cross is providing assistants.
