Structure Fire – Porch Rd.

Saturday, February 14, 2015 12:15 – Box 0135 was struck for a reported structure fire. Engine 1 arrived on location advising they had a single story single family dwelling with fire showing from the garage and roof of the home. Engine 1 held command while the crew advanced the initial attack line. Asst. Chief 10 arrived and command was passed. The fire had taken hold of the attic which required a defensive posture to start fire attack. The deck gun/master stream was used to knock the fire down so crews could enter and begin to extinguish the fire.

 

It was reported that everyone was clear of the structure at dispatch. The first arriving engine/pumper was not greeted by anyone to confirm. The incident was upgraded to a second alarm for additional manpower.
The occupants were later located and accounted for at the neighbors house.
The fire displaced two adults and three children.Red cross is providing assistance. One Warrenton Vol. Fire Company (WVFC) Firefighter was checked for minor burns. The FF was transported to the ER as a precaution. No other injuries were reported.
