Structure Fire – Waterloo St.

Saturday, July 12, 2014 04:31 – Box 0108 was struck for a reported structure fire.  Engine 1 arrived on scene and advised that they had a large, two story, commercial building with fire through the roof.  Engine 1′s officer established Waterloo Street command while crews went to work extinguishing the fire and protecting neighboring exposures.  Once Tower 1 arrived, the ladder pipe was placed in service to extinguish majority of the fire.  Chief 1 arrived on scene and assumed command from Engine 1.  Once the fire was knocked, crews were able to enter the structure to finish hitting hot spots.  Company 1 units remained on scene for approx. 4.5 hours.
