Box 0103 was sounded for a smell on gas in the area of Oak Springs and Hastings Ln. Wagon 1 arrived on scene and reported a stretch of Oak Springs Dr approx 200’ long with gas bubbling form the roadway. Wagon 1 established command and requested additional resources to assist with shutting down the road. Rescue 1 closed off Oak Springs at Branch Dr, while Chief 1 closed Oak Springs Dr near Highland school. Units remained on scene for 2 hours until Columbia Gas arrived and took control of the scene. They reported that a 3” gas main had ruptured under the roadway and they would have to dig up the road to fix it.
