On Thanksgiving day, Thursday, November 26 Engine 1 was dispatched for an outside fire upon their arrival they found what looked like a small fire in a wooded area. Upon further investigation the crew found approximately an acre to an acre and a half on fire spreading quickly up a steep hill-side. Upon finding this Engine 1 established and maintained Command throughout the incident, requested more resources, bringing Attack and Tanker 1 as well as Battalion 1, more resources were requested there after. In total, 10 acres burned and crews worked for approximately 3.5 hours extinguishing the fire and completing overhaul to ensure extinguishment. The scene was turned over to Department of Forestry.
