On Saturday, March 11th, Rescue Squad 1 was special requested by Battalion 1 Arft to the hospital for a handcuff that had become stuck on the highest portion of a wrist which had become swollen. A key was not able to used and other self rescue methods had been applied previously. Using equipment bought specifically for entrapment’s such as these and recently receiving specialized training, the crew was able to quickly cut the handcuff off of the wrist in under 5 minutes. No injuries were sustained as a result of the handcuff.
