Recent Activity
In honor of Women's History Month, we're sharing a throwback of the Ladies Auxiliary. The Ladies Auxiliary was established in 1929 with the purpose to be of assistance to the firemen whenever needed, supporting them in whatever they endeavor. This photo was taken at the Main Street Fire House Banquet Room and includes women from the Ladies Auxiliary (approx. 1969-70).

I love running with WVFC because they have the best firefighters throughout the DMV area. Their first due has a good call volume, and I get to work with their top-of-the-line equipment daily. My training and experience at WVFC helped me get hired as a career firefighter. Most of all, my time at WVFC has taught me how to be a mentor, a leader, and a servant to my community.
My husband and I want to thank you all with all of our hearts as do our children and grandchildren, for coming to our aid that morning of July 29th. We are all truly grateful for all that you do and all that you did that day!
I want to say “Thank you” for choosing to do what you all do. Words cannot express the amount of gratitude and respect I have for all first responders! Thank you for taking the time away from your family to take care of others. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.
