On Sunday, December 16th, the WVFC was asked to help bring holiday cheer to a local family. Santa and his better half, Mrs. Claus, rode Rescue 1 from quarters to the family’s house.
While returning, WVFC was dispatched to an odor of smoke in an apartment building, so Santa and Mrs. Claus took the call with us. Santa and Mrs. Claus stood by in the rig while the crews of Rescue 1 and Engine 1 investigated the origins of the odor. Before returning them to their sleigh that was staging at the firehouse for their trip back to the North Pole, some of the men and women on the call took a quick photo with jolly old Elf.
