Alarm 1006 was sounded for a chimney fire. Rescue Engine 7 arrived on scene and advised that they had a two story single family with active fire in the chimney. Engine 1 arrived on scene and positioned for a reverse lay if needed, while Tanker 1 positioned out on Dumfries Rd. Company 1 crews reported to the scene and were instructed to chain the chimney from the roof. Interior and exterior crews worked together to extinguish the fire. Company 1 units cleared the scene after 40 minutes.
